Top 5 Christmas films | 12 Days of Blogmas day 3

From the 1st of  December the Christmas films go on, me and Lil's are huge fans of these and we spend many evenings and weekends delving into chocolate treats and cuddling up watching them. I thought I would share my top five with you, and i am telling you this isn't an easy choice to pick just 5.

5. Santa Claus the Movie

This one is a little sentimental to me, it was one of my Mums favourites, I remember that this was the main one I watched as a child. The film itself is a lovely one and brings the magic of Santa to life, the song at the end always brings me to tears now but it just brings back the magic in me.

4. The Polar Express

I think this may be Lilly's favourite as this is normally the first one she asks for, and I must admit that I love it too. Its one of those films that makes you feel warm and cosy and want to enjoy a hot chocolate with them on the train. The music in the films just makes it even more perfect.

3. Santa Claus 1

I love all three in the Santa Claus series but I do love the first one the most, Tim Allen is just amazing in this film and I love the way he slowly transforms into Santa over the year. This is also one that Liam loves which makes it perfect for a film night for us.

2. Arthur Christmas

This is my second favourite, its one that I can't wait to get on in December, it makes me laugh and cry and is just a lovely festive film. I love the old Santa with his sleepy reindeer and its just such a lovely family film.

1. Home Alone 2

I love the first Home Alone but the second one is more for me, I love the idea of New York at Christmas and I feel like they kept the story going so well, I also feel like they have thought it out more with it being the second film. This is another one that Liam loves too.

I hope you have likes finding out our favourite Christmas films and I would love to know yours too

My mental health

I don't really know why I am writing this but it may help me or someone else in the future, today I am low, very low, I feel very stuck in a rubbish situation and don't see it ever getting better. At the moment money is tight, very tight and it really is getting me down, I feel like I am letting everyone down. I want to be the best person I can be and the best Mum possible to my girls, I want to be able to provide a good life for them and don't want them to even know that we are ever struggling. I suffer from anxiety but this doesn't feel anything like that, this feels like a have got a weight in my heart, one that feels painful too, its like a constant sinking feeling that drains me too. I am tired and emotional and just had enough and I really don't know what to do or how to even take the next step. I really hope that one day soon we don't have to worry so much, that we can live a little more comfortable and that life gives us some luck as the pas

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery.
