September recap | 2023

September has been a busy and very emotional month, full of birthdays, celebrations and looking to the future.  We started off with lils going on a trip with the guides, her first camp away from home and she did so well, she made so many memories. Whilst we are talking about guides, Lils was also awarded a special badge for reaching Gold in Brownies, it was a lovely afternoon out and was so nice to see that her hard word was being noticed. I have celebrated my 32nd birthday (during a heatwave) with a BBQ and some quality family time and we have also celebrated Lilly's 11 birthday with a fish and chip dinner with my Dad and Angie and then a day out to Drusillas with Nanny and the rest of us, it was such a lovely day out.  We have also been looking at schools for both Lilly and Olivia, I have applied for both now and I will tell you it was an emotional moment. It doesn't seem possible that either are ready to go to the next stage but here we are. With this Lils has o

Drusillas | No ordinary zoo | Family day out

We have recently had a day out at Drusillas Park in Polgate in the South East of England for Lilly's birthday, she got a special sticker to wear to show off and the staff were very attentive to this taking the time to wish her a Happy Birthday. This is a place that me and Liam have been to but when we were children do it was very different to when we both last went. There is a huge array of animals to see when at Drusillas including a lot of different species of monkey along with some more unusual animals such a penguins and sloths, including a baby sloth born back in August. There is also a small amount of farm animals and an opportunity to milk a (fake) cow. All the enclosures are clean and with indoor and outdoor options for almost all the animals. There are also opportunities to walk through some animal enclosures where the animals were with you including bats, sloths and rainbow lorikeets, the last one is where Liam made a friend who didn't want to

Autumn Outfit | Mummy OOTD

Today is a quick post from me and I work on our latest review from our day out last weekend. I wanted to share a little outfit post as I am here for the Autumn weather and the cosier outfits. Today I have gone quite casual but I have realised that everything is from Primark down to my socks (who doesn't have primark socks). Starting off with my t-shirt, this is just one of the simple plain black t-shirt which I have had for a while now, on top I am wearing this plaid shirt , I brought this on a whim and really wasn't sure but I am now in love. I am wearing just some comfy blue skinny jeans on the bottom, the sizes are a lot better with this style and are comfy to wear all day. Lastly I have these little brown tassel boots , they are fluff lined and just so comfy to wear.  I am so in love with this outfit and I am feeling very Autumnal, its something that I may be wearing a lot this season. I really hope you like this sort of post. Victoria

Birthday present for Lils | Present ideas for an 11 year old

Lilly is 11 in just a couple of days time and I wanted to share what gifts we have brought for her. As you may well see its very stitch heavy, she is massively into stitch right now so it was easy to find so cool gifts. I really have struggled to fine things for her this year so its more little items than big ones and we do have a fun day planned out. Smiley slippers - These are something that she has had on her wish list for a while, I am excited for her to open these and enjoy them. Stitch Squishmallows  - This was a win win when I found this, she loves squishmallows and stitch so both of them together was perfect for her to have. Lego friends set - Lils has been into Lego friends for years and they have recently been updated so thought we would try out one of the new sets. Stitch pjs  - I saw these in Primark a while back and new that I had to get these for her, they are more of a grown up set which I feel she will really appreciate. Stitch make up brushes  - These are

Coming to the end of summer

We have just had the best day at the beach soaking in, what is hopefully the end of the heatwave in the UK. For the past week we have been struggling with 28°c which is hit for here.  Today we took the opportunity to make so last minute summer memories before Autumn hits, we packed a bag with towels, suncream, beach shoes and fresh clothes and headed to Camber Sands beach. Camber Sands is a beautiful beach with a huge amount of sand for the kids to enjoy, we have also loved cooling down in the sea by paddling and swimming. We also managed to see some crabs and fish while there. They were swimming around us when the tide was going out, it was great for Olivia to experience and learn from too. I hope to make many more memories with the girls at the beach next year but for now I am ready for Autumn to appear so we can hunt for chestnuts and make leaf garlands, and snuggle up in cosy jumpers. What has been your favourite summer 2023 memory? Victoria

Hello 32 🎂

Yesterday was my 32nd birthday and it was such a lovely day. I wanted to share my day as a little reminder for me as well as showing a normal birthday as a Mum of 2. It started off as an early start with it being the first day back to school, so 7am the girls came in and woke me instead of my alarm. We had a cuddle and a chill before waking Liam up for coffee and pressies.  The girls brought my presents over and helped ne open them, I got some lovely gifts and felt very lucky and spoilt. It was then time to get the girls some breakfast and enjoy some time before the school run madness.  After dropping Lils off we headed back home for a bit as it was Olivia's day off nursery so we played for a bit and I sorted my hair and makeup. Liam then decided we needed to go to B&Q for some bits, we then popped into Sainsburys for BBQ bits. 3pm hit and it was time to get Lils from her first day of year 6! Apparently she had a brilliant day which is good. We then headed straight
