2:22 A ghost story | Congress Theatre Eastbourne

What at show! Last night I got the privilage to go an see the closing night of 2:22 A ghost story in Eastbourne at the Congress Theatre. I have never been more intrigued in a show as I was for this, I had heard some raving reviews.  The cast consisted of four main characters, Sam, played by James Bye who is a vry sceptital person. James is great in this role bringing the right amount of frustation to answers and concern when needed. Shvorne Marks who plays Jenny, She plays this character so well, her performance is so believable with the fear in her voice and the way she uses the stage.  Sam's friend, Lauren is played by Natalie Casey, her character seems to have a mixture or believing but not wanting to upset Sam too much, she plays it well. Lastly we introduced Ben, laurens boyfriend who is played by Grant Kilburn, he seems to be a bit of a person who knows a bit of everything, Grant plays this so well with the right amount of cockiness making his character mildl...

Chitty chitty bang bang tour | Congress Theatre Eastbourne

What an incredible show! Yesterday me and Lilly took a trip to the Congress theatre in Eastbourne to watch the tour production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which is currently touring the UK until May of 2025. Our seats were on the grand terrace in the front row and the view was great for the price. The production of the show was amazing from the costumes to the props, and everything inbetween. The stage itself has a framework round the stage with moving parts and lights to match parts of the show and the side curtains contained blueprints adding to the inventing side of the story. The scene changes were sometimes visible with the ensemble moving props about and other done either with the lights down or a scene curtian hiding it but every one worked well with the story.  The cast included some well known names and they certainly did not dissapoint, Adam Garcia played Caractacus Potts and he was perfect, his voice worked with every song he sang and he brought the right amout of humour ...

Everybody's talking about Jamie UK tour | Congress Theatre Eastbourne

A place where we belong and a place that I want to stay, what a show! We have recently been to watch Everybody's talking about Jamie UK tour at the congress theatre in Eastbourne and we were in for a show and a half. The show is based on a true story of a boy, Jamie who is played by Ivano Turco, who wanted to be accepted for who he was, a drag queen, the story shows his journey from his first conversation with his friend to wearing a dress to prom with all the drama that comes along with being 'different'.  Each song was performed to perfection from the opening song 'everybody's talking about Jamie' getting everyone clapping and swaying to 'wall in my head' and 'it means beautiful' silencing the room for every word to sink in.  The staging and set are amazing with the use of projectors helping to create the vision that they are trying to portray, the stage being able to be opened and moved so freely to create different rooms and the l...
