September was a busy, crazy month and one we certainly won't forget, with a theatre trip, a concert, birthdays and drifting taking up life along with work we are happy for a calmer start to the next month. The month started with back to work, 2 inset days for me and then back in to the full swing of school runs and clubs. Its been a busy and tiring first term but we are surviving.  I turned 34 at the end of the first week, I felt loved and got treated both at work and home. I didn't do too much for my birthday, Dad and Angie came round to see me, Liam cooked a meal I asked for and had cake and wine! It was perfect. A week later it was Lilly's turn to have a birthday, she turned 13! I officially have a teenager which is crazy. For her birthday we planned for her to have a trip to the theatre to see  SIX  in Brighton, she has wanted to go back for a while and I managed to get tickets for the actual day and surprised her with it with a ticket and stickers for our...

April recap | 2025

April has been and gone in a flash, with birthdays, Easter, half term and illness thrown into the mix. We started off the month with the last week of term, a trip to a fort for me and an Easter bonnet parade to finish the term. Half term started off amazing, Lils learnt how to ride her bike in under 30 minutes and is now flying every time she rides. Olivia has also been having fun on her bike, flying along the path down the back of ours.  But I was struck with my second lot of tonsillitis and a chest infection to contend with. Luckily with antibiotics I was better in no time.  Next was Olivias 5th birthday! How is she 5? We had a lovely chilled day, she opened her presents and then we took her swimming, had family round and enjoyed lots of cake and treats.  Easter followed just after, this year was so nice as I was actually able to set up an outdoor egg hunt, the girls loved it and it really put a smile on my face. They had some many yummy treats to enjoy and ...

What a month, April was a good one and one that I won't forget. We started off with half term, two weeks of fun but the weather wasn't on our side for some of the time. The girls spent most of the time in a tent that I put together for them, something I love to do during half terms.  At the end of the holidays we took a trip to  Wingham wildlife park  for Olivias birthday treat day, this place is honestly amazing and we will definitely be taking a trip again. A few days later we celebrated her actual birthday, she is officially 4 which is crazy. She had nursery and then we took her to the park for some fun on her new scooter, we then visited Granny and grandad for presents and cake and finished the night with McDonald's. She was so thankful throughout the day which was so sweet. After that is was back to the crazy school runs and getting everything caught up on. We have had a day out looking at some military vehicles, enjoyed the scattered sunshine at the park...

September has been a busy and very emotional month, full of birthdays, celebrations and looking to the future.  We started off with lils going on a trip with the guides, her first camp away from home and she did so well, she made so many memories. Whilst we are talking about guides, Lils was also awarded a special badge for reaching Gold in Brownies, it was a lovely afternoon out and was so nice to see that her hard word was being noticed. I have celebrated my 32nd birthday (during a heatwave) with a BBQ and some quality family time and we have also celebrated Lilly's 11 birthday with a fish and chip dinner with my Dad and Angie and then a day out to Drusillas with Nanny and the rest of us, it was such a lovely day out.  We have also been looking at schools for both Lilly and Olivia, I have applied for both now and I will tell you it was an emotional moment. It doesn't seem possible that either are ready to go to the next stage but here we are. With this Lils has ...

Another month has flown by and this one has been a busy one full of fun and making memories, my health has been so much better again and lets hope it stays that way, I do not like being ill at all.  We started off this month with half term and what a crazy two weeks it was, we started it off with a trip to Hastings seafront for some fun in the sun, which has poked its head through a few times. The girls enjoyed some fun on the trampolines before enjoying some doughnuts. I had  my very first evening out without Liam or the kids since having them to go and see Blood Brothers Musical at our local theare, I absolutely love this show and it has revived my love for theatre so much.  We then entered the Easter weekend full of chocolate, games and a trip to  Brighton Sealife  as an early Birthday treat for Olivia. That's right, my baby girl turned 3, we had a lovely day celebrating her birthday on her actual birthday with a family BBQ over nanny's and was sp...
