April recap | 2026

Image
April is always an emotional month for me, in good and bad ways but we get through it every year and here we are, saying goodbye to April and hello to May. This month started with half term and Easter, probably one of my favourite parts of the year with baby lambs, flowers and warmer days. I am also grateful for the lighter evenings, it makes everything feel a little less heavy.  We took a trip to tibbs farm for a duck hunt , enjoyed baking and an at home Easter egg hunt, anything to keep the kids occupied when off school. I also managed to take a day for myself and see Waitress in Brighton which was incredible.  It was then back to school/work for us, its only a short term but we have so much to do, along with planning the wedding too. The first day back was the 9th anniversary of losing Mum, I always go to the crematorium with flowers and take a few minutes to remember her.  We celebrated Olivias birthday, my baby girl turned 6! How is that even possible. W...

March recap | 2026

Image
Goodbye March and hello April! I have actually really enjoyed March, its been a month of sun, family time and finally leaving the house for adventures with the girls. The month started off with world book day, the girls both dress as Alice in Wonderland and I was the giraffe from The smartest giant in town. I absoloutly love days like these both as a parent and as someone who works in a school and its just a lot of fun.  We took trips to the local park, planted stuff in our garden and green house and generally enjoyed the sun when it was out, this has been something that I have been craving for a while now so I am glad that the darker, wetter days are fewer right now. We also took a trip to the beach, this one was to find some dinosaur footprints and to enjoy an iceream on the seafront, the sun was shining, the beach was beautiful and it was just a lovely afternoon out.  Mothers day followed, this was lovely but dinner didn't go to plan, Liam started cooking a love...

Hello 32 🎂

Image
Yesterday was my 32nd birthday and it was such a lovely day. I wanted to share my day as a little reminder for me as well as showing a normal birthday as a Mum of 2. It started off as an early start with it being the first day back to school, so 7am the girls came in and woke me instead of my alarm. We had a cuddle and a chill before waking Liam up for coffee and pressies.  The girls brought my presents over and helped ne open them, I got some lovely gifts and felt very lucky and spoilt. It was then time to get the girls some breakfast and enjoy some time before the school run madness.  After dropping Lils off we headed back home for a bit as it was Olivia's day off nursery so we played for a bit and I sorted my hair and makeup. Liam then decided we needed to go to B&Q for some bits, we then popped into Sainsburys for BBQ bits. 3pm hit and it was time to get Lils from her first day of year 6! Apparently she had a brilliant day which is good. We then headed stra...

March Recap | 2023

March has come to an end and again I would like to say good riddance, there has been a few good times this month but its been one full of illness again and not just me this time.  We started off with world book day, this was so nice for the girls and a great opportunity for them to dress up in costumes. Olivia was the Gruffalo, she absolutely loves this story so knew she would love it. Lils dressed as Lucy from the Creakers, she again loves the story and hers is something she can wear again. We then started with the illness, first was Olivia with a sickness bug which came on so quick but left equally as fast as it came, then I followed a couple of days later and could not even move out of bed, then it hit Lils who just wanted to sleep. When that was over Olivia was diagnosed with Impetigo so had to have a week off nursery. I am again not 100% but am getting there again. The other good parts of this month were Mothers day, I was spoilt by the girls who got me some lovely...

Happy 9th Birthday Lilly

Image
To Lilly, I just wanted to say a huge Happy belated 9th birthday to our beautiful girl, you are truly one of a kind. I still can't quite believe that you are turning 9, I still remember the day you came, how small you were and how scared I was. You are kind, funny, clever and always put others before yourself which makes you such an amazing person to know. You make us proud every day and for that I am grateful.  I hope that you have had the best birthday possible and that you enjoyed your day, even though you had to go to school. We have some many more memories to make over the year and I can't wait to see the person you become, just slow down a little though! All My love       Mummy xx
