A pocket of my life

December was probably one of the busiest months ever! I Feel like we didnt stop and this was thrown in with illness too. The start if December was a little slow compared to the end. We started off with unpacking and an IKEA trip for furniture, which then lead to lots of building of said furniture so we could finally make this house a home. We have also been planning our wedding too, with parcels being delivered, dresses to try on and invites to get sent out. We do like to add to all the manic stress of it all. We had lots of school events, with Olivias nativity, where she played a camel, and then we had lil's school Christmas fair where she was singing in the choir as well as well.  The Christmas holidays finally arrived and I definitely needed the rest, with the busy month my body decided to throw in a chest infection too.  We finally had a chance to enjoy some time together and some time to do so festive things, we watched the festive tractor run, which included ...

I think December 2024 has been the busiest month of my life, along with moving, working and Christmas all taking up time, I am glad for the little best of quiet before going back to work next week. December started off with us moving house , this has been the craziest thing ever and it still doesn't feel real that we have moved and won't be going back to the flat ever again. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't wait to move but I will miss the view from the flat and it makes me emotional thinking about all the memories we have made together there. I have also been trying to keep it as normal as possible for the kids so we took a trip to a festive day at our local shopping centre, they had a merry-go-round, hook a duck, candy floss and Sanea reading stories. Well December has flown by and what an adventure it has been. There have been highs and lows and memories made. We started off with a slow week or so with school runs, my TA course and decorating for Christmas.  As we got into the month it got things got crazy and very festive, we took our annual trip to Westfield Christmas lights and Lilly's final festive performance at primary school which was emotional. Sadly my Dad also ended up in hospital for the first of 3 visits. School ended and Lils had to sleep overs back to back and then sadly became poorly with a sickness bug which luckily only lasted a couple of days.  Once she was better me and her took a trip to Brighton to see SIX the musical, it was the most amazing show and a night to remember. This was followed by the Christmas train which is an annual festive event, its such a nice family thing we do and really puts you in the mood.
