Taking our indoor cat outside with stimulicat | Gifted

Image
This post contains an affiliate link Since moving from a flat to a house we have been slowly introducing Jack to the outside world, this is not something that we have taken lightly and are trying to keep him safe whilst learning how to be confident and happy outside. We have been trying out this new harness from  Stimulicat  and are impress so far. The harness itself comes in many different colours and sizes suiting all cats, we went for orange with it being a contast to his fur colour. the sizing is easy to work out, Jack in around 5kg which means that we use a size small harness. The harness itself has a velcro farstening, a safety lock and the lead links through two loops on each side of the fastenings, this to me feels safe and secure yet comfy for Jack. The harness fits nicely around him and doesn't feel like it restricts him at all, and he moves freely with it on around the garden. All in all I am very happy with the harness and will contiue to use this for m...

Ecostash storage | AdGifted

Image
These last couple of years I have become more and more aware of how much plastic we use as a family and I am determined to change it and make our family more environmentally conscious, so when ecostash emailed about there wheat straw storage, I was above happy. Ecostash have created different file storage solutions in different size and colour to fit everyone, and all made from agricultural waste, meaning that no plastic has been added to the environment. I chose a green colour, a have got the 12 pocket organiser. This is perfect for our family and I have been able to store all the paperwork I need with lots of space for more. The accordion style to the storage means that you can close it up quite small for a cupboard or use in a filing cabinet too. There are others colours and designs to pick from, you can either choose pink, blue, yellow, green or purple and size wise of 12 pocket, with or without lid, or hangers for a filing cabinet and 26 pocket ones to, meaning that there's ...

What's in my TriyIt box #3

Image
We have recently been picked for the latest trying box, it has been a whole since we got a full box so I was excited to try the items. This box was a great mix of things that we have tried before and brands that we have not heard of too. 1. Corona extra can - This is a very familiar brand for us and one that both me and Liam enjoy, especially on those summer evenings with a slice of lime in too. 2. Rock face deodorant - This is a new brand to us and me and Liam have both been impressed, the scent was strong and long lasting and it actually worked for keeping him fresh too. 3. Ensure nutravigor drink - I have never been keen on things like this and it was sadly the same with this. It makes a vanilla tasting watery drink which wasn't for me but don't get me wrong it wasn't the worst thing ever. 4. John west tuna chunks in brine - I am the only tuna lover in the family and this was a winner for me. This has less liquid in so they can reduce some of there wastage. I...

Trying wild refillable body wash | Ad Gifted

Image
Being a family of 4 we can get through a lot of plastic use, so when Wild contacted me to try there body wash, I jumped at the opportunity.  Wild is a company that is making beauty more sustainable by cutting out single use plastic and creating packaging that is compostable. In there collection there is deodorant, body wash, lip balm and hand wash. I have been sent a starter kit for the body wash, this included a beautiful powder blue case and two different scents of the body wash, these included 'Juicy Mango' and 'Honey and Almond'. The product is so easy to change by just unscrewing the case, popping your chosen scent in and screw the case back together, it's as easy as that. I am currently using the 'Juicy Mango' which smells amazing, it's such a summery scent and also works well, leaving you feeling clean and fresh. If you are intere...

Tidy Tot | Messy play made fun #Adgifted

Image
Messy play is fun for the kids but not always for the parents with the clear up after. We have recently been gifted some useful items to help with that and I am excited to share them with you. Tidy Tot was created to make weaning a little bit less messy and has grown from there, some of there products include full length bibs and snack packs which we have been kindly sent to give them a go.  Firstly is the long length cover all bib, these come in handy for both dinner time and messy play and come in some great patterns too. they come with a handy pouch to keep you bib in and for ease of carrying it with you, a soft velcro fastening around the neck, a side opening crumb catch pocket and long cuffed sleeves.  We currently use this mainly for messy play as Olivia is a pretty clean eater, the one thing I really like is that it doesn't rustle a lot when worn which was a worry of mine. The bib is easily removed and can either be wiped down or thrown into the washing mach...

Image
A few months back I was kindly gifted some glasses from Zinff which are an online shop for glasses for both prescription glasses and non prescription. I have worn glasses for as long as I can remember and have always played it safe when choosing a style so when I was invited to try a pair I went for something that I would not normally go for. Going Eco | reusable fabric panty liners

Image
So this is a little different to what I have written about before but I feel like I need to share my experience to you all as I am surprised. I feel like I need to make more of a change with how much we throw away and one thing that is a constant thing is panty liners. These are something that I use since being a Mum as my bladder isn't quite as strong as it used to be, I wanted to make a change so had a look on etsy and came across a shop called  FollowTheHem  which sells a huge amount of different things including reusable cotton panty liners. I was a little bit worried about how they would feel and if they would stay in place, I was also a little worried about how they would wash just because I have never tried anything like this before. They arrived very quickly, were packaged discreetly and packaged neatly too.  To my surprise they were very easy to attach and clip onto the knickers with poppers that are very well made, they sit very comfortably and I don't even noti...

Image
Cocktails made easy, that's what I can say about tails cocktails. They are ready made cocktails waiting for you all to enjoy. I was kindly gifted two bottles of Tails cocktails from TRND and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and easy they make a treat night. In the parcel I received a Passion fruit martini cocktail, a Espresso martini cocktail and a cocktail shaker.  I firstly tried the passion fruit martini one as that flavour is more my style and I was made up with the flavour of it, the fruitiness was just right but you could also taste the alcohol, this was not overpowering which I am glad about. It was very refreshing and perfect for a summers evening with friends. I have also tried the espresso martini version, I was a little more reluctant to try this as I was worried it would be bitter but I was pleasantly surprised, It was quite nice but could have done with being a little sweeter for my liking, this one you could not taste the alcohol at all.  I wou...

Being a Mum I don't have a lot of time for self care but when I do make time I make sure I go all out, face mask, bath bomb and freshly shaved legs too. I was recently reached out to by Estrid who create vegan friendly, reusable razors designed for both men and women that come in 5 different colours. Ever tried making your own lip balm? we hadn't until the other day but would certainly consider making again, we had been sent a lip balm kit to try out and Lils was made up with it. The sent Lils picked was sweet orange, it literally smells like you are peeling oranges and make you want to eat it. The kits comes with everything weighed out and the instructions are so simple to follow.  The whole process of melting, transferring the melted wax to the tins and putting the stickers on took around 20 minutes so its nice a quick for something to do. The kit makes 6 full lip balms which smell and feel amazing to use.  The kit is vegan friendly, UK made and all the packaging is biodegradable or recyclable. https://www.hugtheearth.co.uk/
