Making handmade lip balm | Hug the earth #ADgifted

Ever tried making your own lip balm? we hadn't until the other day but would certainly consider making again, we had been sent a lip balm kit to try out and Lils was made up with it. The sent Lils picked was sweet orange, it literally smells like you are peeling oranges and make you want to eat it. The kits comes with everything weighed out and the instructions are so simple to follow.  The whole process of melting, transferring the melted wax to the tins and putting the stickers on took around 20 minutes so its nice a quick for something to do. It was easy enough for Lils to do 95% of it with me supervising. The kit makes 6 full lip balms which smell and feel amazing to use.  The kit is vegan friendly, UK made and all the packaging is biodegradable or recyclable. https://www.hugtheearth.co.uk/

Anxiety in pregnancy after a miscarriage | TRIGGER WARNING

Trigger warning - Baby loss  On the 3rd of August 2019, 2 years ago today, I found out that I was pregnant with Olivia and as much a love being pregnant and feeling excited for the future, there is always a heap of anxiety that follows me, especially during the first trimester. Back in July 2011 I suffered a miscarriage at just 6 weeks but I had started getting excited for this baby the moment my test came up positive. I started to bleed which got heavier by the day, we ended up going to the hospital for a scan and blood test, there was a sack but no visible baby. they drew my blood two days later for the HCG to which I got a phone call that night saying that it was not going to be a viable pregnancy. My world broke, I felt jealous of others, angry at my body and confusion of how fast you world could turn around. I definitely felt the anxiety when pregnant with Lils too but not quite as much as I did with Olivia, I think its because we had had so much sadness in our family the past few

Getting Lils ears pierced at Claire's

Lils have been asking for a while if she could get her ears pierced and I finally let in. We chose the first week of the summer holidays so they had time to heal before she was due to go back to school. I personally picked Claire's accessories as this is where I had my ears pierced a few years back. They now provide a 3 week aftercare solution which in half the time that I had to wait. There was a queue for the piercing as a few parents have had the same idea but it wasn't to long to wait. The area was cleaned before we were allowed over and the lady changed her gloves. We picked the earrings and lils was prepped while I signed the paperwork. They lady was very particular in where the placement was and got me to check to as well as which earrings we had picked. When the time was right the lady brought a second lady over who sanitised and gloves up so that both ears could be done at the same time. The ladies pierced and kept Lils calm the whole time. Afte
