A pocket of my life

Today's blog post is another toddler book one, we love reading to Olivia, its one of my favourite things to do. Stories are a great way to introduce so many things to your child and its a great way to broaden there imagination. I wanted to share the books that Olivia has been loving lately and the books that we ready probably on a daily basis.   The dinosaur that pooped a planet   This book is a funny one and one that I know off by heart, The dinosaur that pooped series are fantastic stories with beautiful illustrations too. Olivia really enjoys this story and loved to point out how the characters emotions change through the story.  3-4 years £4 Postman bear   This is another one of Olivia's books that I know word for word, this is such a cute little story and a great way to introduce animals into your toddlers vocabulary. With Halloween just around the corner I have dug out some of our favourite books for the spooky season, these books are aimed at the younger age but are still loved by my elder daughter too. I love hunting down new books for the season and normally add a new one to the Halloween basket for them to enjoy.  Where's Mrs Witch - Ingela P Arrhenius This story is about finding different Halloween characters under felt flaps, and ends with a fun mirror for your little ones to engage in. The book is aimed at 2-6 year olds and is a fun edition to our Halloween collection. 10 Trick-or-Treaters  - Janet Schulman & Linda Davick This is Olivia's favourite story and is about 10 children who are out trick or treating, one by one the children get scared and the number decreases, it is a great way to start teaching counting to your little ones.
