Cloud dough recipe

Over the summer holidays its hard to find tasks that are cheap to do to keep the kids entertained, I have searched the internet for things and placed some ideas in an envelope so that we can pick a task out for the kids to do. Today it was time to try and make some cloud dough with two simple main ingredients, It was easy and relatively mess free. All you need is: 2 cups of corn flour 1 cup of baby lotion food colouring if you wish We started off with pouring the 2 cups in a large bowl and pouring the lotion on top, we started off by slowly mixing it with a spoon until it combined, add more flour if it is sticky. We created some baby blue cloud dough with just a few drops of food colouring, which I folded in so I did not stain my hands too much. This is honestly such an easy task and cost about £1 to make with more left for another day. We are currently storing the dough in an airtight box and will continue to use until we can no more. I hope that this post gives you an idea to do over

When Hastings meets Rosie and Jim

This is a little celebration post for my Dad and Angie, they took part in Hastings carnival on Saturday just gone and they made so many people smile, they left with a best in show in there category and so much praise from people.  My Dad has taken part in this show for years but was going to retire from it due to ill health and lack of motivation. Well earlier this year my Dad surprised me by telling me they were taking part again this year and that I would enjoy the float they were creating. The float this year was Rosie and Jim, a children's programme from the 90's and it went down a storm. The both made full effort to put in every detail they possibly could, from the costumes to the flower box on the boat itself. They also had the theme tune playing the whole way round to add to the effect of the float.  I am so glad that Dad and Angie entered together, it made so many people smile and it's nice to see my Dad with the spark he had all those years back. They are already p

Going Eco | reusable fabric panty liners

So this is a little different to what I have written about before but I feel like I need to share my experience to you all as I am surprised. I feel like I need to make more of a change with how much we throw away and one thing that is a constant thing is panty liners. These are something that I use since being a Mum as my bladder isn't quite as strong as it used to be, I wanted to make a change so had a look on etsy and came across a shop called  FollowTheHem  which sells a huge amount of different things including reusable cotton panty liners. I was a little bit worried about how they would feel and if they would stay in place, I was also a little worried about how they would wash just because I have never tried anything like this before. They arrived very quickly, were packaged discreetly and packaged neatly too.  To my surprise they were very easy to attach and clip onto the knickers with poppers that are very well made, they sit very comfortably and I don't even notice it

Emotional about nurseries | Growing fast

Today we received an email confirming some settling in sessions for this little one and I really don't think I'm ready, in 2 weeks times she will be having 1 hour on the first day to try out and 2 hours on the second day.  The last 2 years have gone so fast and I will really miss her but I am hoping that it will help with her separation anxiety being a covid baby. I really hope that she will be ok without me near her but I think it will do both of us the world of good having some time to experience different things. Nursery is an exciting time though and I believe that it really will be amazing for her, to grow bonds with other, to communicate with people other than her parents and sister and do many things that we can't do at home.  I am emotional about it and I know there will be a few tears but I need to let her go and needs to learn to trust others other than me. We will get there but I think its gonna take longer than it did with Lils.

CockTAILS with friends | TAILS cocktails #AdGifted (18+)

Cocktails made easy, that's what I can say about tails cocktails. They are ready made cocktails waiting for you all to enjoy. I was kindly gifted two bottles of Tails cocktails from TRND and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty and easy they make a treat night. In the parcel I received a Passion fruit martini cocktail, a Espresso martini cocktail and a cocktail shaker.  I firstly tried the passion fruit martini one as that flavour is more my style and I was made up with the flavour of it, the fruitiness was just right but you could also taste the alcohol, this was not overpowering which I am glad about. It was very refreshing and perfect for a summers evening with friends. I have also tried the espresso martini version, I was a little more reluctant to try this as I was worried it would be bitter but I was pleasantly surprised, It was quite nice but could have done with being a little sweeter for my liking, this one you could not taste the alcohol at all.  I would hi
