August recap | 2025

Image
This post is so late and for that I apologise, it has been a crazy couple of weeks, and now August feels like a distant memory. August started quite slow and quiet with just a few trips to the park with the girls, baking and relaxing after a crazy last term at school. This was well needed and I really enjoyed the slower mornings and enjoying time with the girls, during this time we also decided to try out some  natural tie dye , this actually turned out fantastic and we will be trying this again. Me and the girls took part in Hastings carnival with the school, my Dad and Angie also had there own creation in the parade of Chitty, it was amazing as always. The acutal parade was great, the weather was good and the atmosphere was incredible, I forgot how much I liked being part of it all. One of the highlights for the girls (and me) was meeting stitch and having a photo with him, our local shopping centre hold amazing free events and this was one over the summer holidays, t...

May recap | 2024

May has been a wild one and one that has had a lot of smiles and memories made. The highlight of this month was that Liam has got himself a job which he is loving. It seems so odd to have him out the house but we are all so happy for him. The start of May me and Lils went to Eastbourne to see  Everybody's talking about Jamie  which was incredible, we also managed to get to stage door and meet some of the cast too, something I have never done before. Lils also competed for there school that week and smashed the 75m sprint coming in 2nd. A few days later we got to experience seeing the Northern lights, well kind of, We were able to see them through a photo we we took them but sadly not with our eyes.  Lils has also taken part in her SAT's exams and she did so well, there was so much pressure on them for these, more from themselves than anyone else but she honestly did us so proud getting through them with a smile on her face. The sun has shown its face a few tim...

March recap 2024

Image
And just like that we are recaping another month, March went by in a flash but was a lot better than the previous two, we are all finally feeling more human and have certainly taken the opportunity to make memories and enjoy the fresh air more. we started off with a trip to the town for doughnuts and ice cream, I love exploring the beach and also forget how much it clears the cobwebs away. We have also celebrated world book day, Olivia dress as Alice in wonderland and Lils was Matilda, this was Lils last one in primary which means it was probably the last one that she'll dress up. We have taken some time exploring our local beach and found some dinosaur footprints, this was so exciting to find and we are so glad that we have found them before they disappear.  We also took a trip to our local banger racing track, its was freezing but we enjoyed it and have had a lot of fun watching the racing and drama on track.  Mothers day was lovely and I got thoroughly spoilt fr...

August Recap | 2023

Image
Wow, August flew by in a flash and has been a blast, the summer holidays are coming to an end but we have tried to cram as much as we can into the past month.  August started off with a few adventures, we found a new play park which the girls both loved, there was something for both the girls to enjoy and they even got me to join in. Me and Lilly also spent some time on the beach whilst Liam was busy, it was nice to have this time with her whilst Olivia was in nursery. On the rainy days we built a den that the girls could sleep in, Olivia's first one, we made it comfy and cosy and the girls loved it. It was something we used to do before having Olivia so it was nice to bring this sort of thing back into Lils world. Another thing me and Lilly enjoyed was an open air cinema , I had planned this a couple of months back with Liam so that I could have some one on one time with Lils. It was a brilliant night and we both came away smiling, I will definitely do it again. ...
