Currently reading | When the curtain falls

My first book of 2024 has got me hooked, theatre and ghosts all in one story. I am sadly such a slow reader but am getting through this one quicker than normal as I want to read on until I physically can't The book in question is ' When the curtain falls ' by Carrie Hope Fletcher, this is a story which tells two tales in one that intertwine. The first is of a stage hand, Walter, and an actress, Fawn, who fall in love but must not show it, their story ends in heartache and sorrow, the second is off two actors 70 years later falling in love whilst performing the same show as Fawn, the first time it has been shown since she played the part. Oscar and Olive grow close whilst performing but strange things start to happen around them. This really has had me hooked from chapter one and I have been loving the build up to it all. The chapters will bounce from present day to 1952 with ease and the more you learn the more you want to know. I would highly recommend if you l

January recap | 2024

Well that's the first month of 2024 done and it felt like it went on forever. We had a very quiet month and not the greatest but we certainly had our good days too. We stayed off our year in complete chaos as we had to move everything from our living room so our ceiling could be replaced, it was a nightmare and was so stressful but we finally have a ceiling with no hole. Lils tried her roller blades out for the first time and we tried to spend some time outside but the weather has been so cold, we finally have some better weather and I am hoping to get out more with the girls.  We did have a lovely afternoon out for Dad's birthday, we went for a roast in a lovely restaurant and enjoyed so well needed family time as Christmas and New year were a write off. Other than that it has just been school and my course which I am almost done with, just one more workbook to do and this will be complete.
