A pocket of my life

June has been busy and hot!! Our month started with a surprise birthday party, new glasses for Lils and back to school fun. The party was for a family member who had no idea luckily, it was so lovely to see all the family again. We then took a trip to watch banger racing, we travelled to Arlington raceway and spent the night with friends watching some very fun racing. This is when the weather changed a bit and started creeping up, we took the kids to the travelling funfair which was a blast, Lils went on all the rides but one, shes crazy haha, and even Olivia was brave and went on the bigger chair-o-planes. It was a great fair and it was suprisingly quiet when we went. The weekend continued with the heat and we decided to enjoy a day at the beach, it was one of those days that I feel like we really needed, swimming in the sea, making sandcastles and trying to move our stuff whilst the tide tried to race us.  The heat really ramped up last week, we felt temperatures of 3...

Wow, August flew by in a flash and has been a blast, the summer holidays are coming to an end but we have tried to cram as much as we can into the past month.  August started off with a few adventures, we found a new play park which the girls both loved, there was something for both the girls to enjoy and they even got me to join in. Me and Lilly also spent some time on the beach whilst Liam was busy, it was nice to have this time with her whilst Olivia was in nursery. On the rainy days we built a den that the girls could sleep in, Olivia's first one, we made it comfy and cosy and the girls loved it. It was something we used to do before having Olivia so it was nice to bring this sort of thing back into Lils world. Another thing me and Lilly enjoyed was an open air cinema , I had planned this a couple of months back with Liam so that I could have some one on one time with Lils. It was a brilliant night and we both came away smiling, I will definitely do it again. ...

June has been a busy month but one that has been good 90% of the time, its been a hot one and if you read my last blog post you will know that it doesn't help my  Mental health  at all, its been a bit tough for that reason but luckily it has cooled for the moment. Lilly has had a busy month starting off with a cinema trip with her guide group to go and see the new Little Mermaid, she absolutely loved it and can't wait to watch it again. She has had two visits from the tooth fairy this one, for some of the larger teeth at the back, she is honestly growing too fast. Lastly Lilly made me and her Dad so proud when she competed in town sports today and went on to win two 2nd place medals for discus and 60m sprint.  Olivia has also had a big month starting off with water fights with her big sister and finally getting fully back into nursery with the confidence she had a few month back ( she became scared of nursery back in late April).
