A pocket of my life

With Halloween being just days away I wanted to share a few of our favourite seasonal books with you. In the new house with have this beautiful sheflf built into the wall and the moment I saw it I new I had to use it to display these books and future seasonal books too. Room on the broom  - An absoloutle classic in my eyes and one that we do read throughout the year as we all love it so much. The dinosaur that pooped Halloween  - This is another story that is always in our book baskets that we have as Olivia loves the dinosaur that pooped series. Where's Mrs Witch  - This one one that may be retiring this year as Olivia is slowly avoiding this more and more but I no and certain someone who will benefit from it.  Were going on a pumpkin hunt  - A story that has been adapted from a well known story meaning that we both love this, we both make the noises whilst reading it.  Little Miss Sunshine and the wicked witch  - We have had this story for a while an...

With Halloween just around the corner I have dug out some of our favourite books for the spooky season, these books are aimed at the younger age but are still loved by my elder daughter too. I love hunting down new books for the season and normally add a new one to the Halloween basket for them to enjoy.  Where's Mrs Witch - Ingela P Arrhenius This story is about finding different Halloween characters under felt flaps, and ends with a fun mirror for your little ones to engage in. The book is aimed at 2-6 year olds and is a fun edition to our Halloween collection. 10 Trick-or-Treaters  - Janet Schulman & Linda Davick This is Olivia's favourite story and is about 10 children who are out trick or treating, one by one the children get scared and the number decreases, it is a great way to start teaching counting to your little ones.
