Tasty pizza sauce

A recipe that we have been using for many years now is our pizza sauce, this certain sauce has distinct similarities to one that is used by a major pizza take away and tastes amazing. The recipe below makes 3-4 portions of sauce depending on how much you use and how much you simmer the sauce down too.  Ingredients 450g Passata 235ml Water 1/4 tsp Basil 1/4 tsp Oregano 1/4 tsp Marjoram 1/4 Sage 1/4 Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp Black Pepper 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper 1 tbsp Oil Method Add the passata and water into a saucepan on a low heat. Add all the hebs and spices in and mix well Add the oil, mix and bring to the boil Once boiling, lower the heat, then cover and leave to simmer, mixing every 5 minutes Reduce the sauce down for around 20 - 30 minuites This is now ready to use Any left over, freeze in pizza size portions and enjoy when needed. We really enjoy this sauce and will contiue to use this for many years to come.  Victoria x

Burger seasoning recipe

With the weather warming up and the BBQ season well on its way, I wanted to share a recipe with you that is a firm favourite in our house, this recipe will help elevate you BBQ tastes with the yummiest burgers that have so much flavour.  Its such a simple seasoning to make and one that you will be able to store for future use too. 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper We add these herbs and spices into a pestel and mortar and given them a good mix together. When the time comes to make these tasty burgers just grab some 5%  mince and shape into burgers, we now have a burger press to make them more even, then when cooking sprinkle some of the seasoning onto the top side of the burger and flip, then repeat till both sides are covered evenly. This will help the seasoning cook into the meat and make the flavour run througout.  Once cooked serve your burgers the way you like, I personally go...

Air fryer roast potatoes

Image
We have recently got an air fryer and so far I am in love with it. One of the first things that I tried to cook was roast potatoes and they were honestly the best roasts I have ever tasted and so easy to create too. You will need: 4 medium Potatoes 2 tbsp oil Salt and pepper Method 1. Peel and cut you potatoes in to half and half again. 2. Par boil you potatoes for 10-15 mins, when draining give them a shake to fluff the edges up. 3. Leave to steam for a few. 4. Coat your potatoes in the oil and toss until covered, add the salt and pepper and toss again 5. Place in your air fryer on 200°c for 25-30 mins until golden brown. 6. Serve. These have honestly so tasty and have come out perfect every time we have tried them, still fluffy inside with a nice outer costing.  You could add some herbs such a rosemary to add even more flavour, perfect for a roast.
