A pocket of my life

I am still buzzing from last night! Yesterday was a very sky orintated day for us with the patrial eclipse happening in the UK. We took a trip down to out local seafront to watch, I was organised enough to buy the speical glasses a week ago so we could all enjoy it. The amount of people out and about last night was crazy and the stmosphere was lovely. The girls played on the beach and came up every so often to have a look at how much of the sun was covered.  We watched from about 6.45pm to around 7.30pm and got a great viewof it going over. It is such a weird feeling as you can feel the temperature drop and the day light went very sepia like, it was like watching someone turn the contrast down. July was a busy one for us, from theatre trips, days out and even a little trip away for me and Liam. July started with our first trip to the theatre, this was a pretty inpromptu trip as a friend offered a ticker for me to see 2:22 A ghost story  and wow what a show it was. The next weekend was our second, and last show of the month was one mainly for Olivia but enjoyed by all of us, Bluey's big show .  The next week was the lasy week of school, it been a hot tem and I was/am so ready for the rest. It was an emotional one leaving the children and moving to another year group but I am excited for the experience. Lilly took part in her sports day in the last week of term too and came home with 4 medals, a 1st in the 100m sprint and 2nd in three other events, she honestly smashed it. April is always an emotional month for me, in good and bad ways but we get through it every year and here we are, saying goodbye to April and hello to May. This month started with half term and Easter, probably one of my favourite parts of the year with baby lambs, flowers and warmer days. I am also grateful for the lighter evenings, it makes everything feel a little less heavy.  We took a trip to tibbs farm for a duck hunt , enjoyed baking and an at home Easter egg hunt, anything to keep the kids occupied when off school. I also managed to take a day for myself and see Waitress in Brighton which was incredible.  It was then back to school/work for us, its only a short term but we have so much to do, along with planning the wedding too. The first day back was the 9th anniversary of losing Mum, I always go to the crematorium with flowers and take a few minutes to remember her.  We celebrated Olivias birthday, my baby girl turned 6! December was probably one of the busiest months ever! I Feel like we didnt stop and this was thrown in with illness too. The start if December was a little slow compared to the end. We started off with unpacking and an IKEA trip for furniture, which then lead to lots of building of said furniture so we could finally make this house a home. We have also been planning our wedding too, with parcels being delivered, dresses to try on and invites to get sent out. We do like to add to all the manic stress of it all. We had lots of school events, with Olivias nativity, where she played a camel, and then we had lil's school Christmas fair where she was singing in the choir as well as well.  The Christmas holidays finally arrived and I definitely needed the rest, with the busy month my body decided to throw in a chest infection too.  We finally had a chance to enjoy some time together and some time to do so festive things, we watched the festive tractor run, which included ...

Goodbye July, its been good! We started off the month strong with a quiz night at guides, it was such a laugh but we did come last which meant we came home with teh wooded spoon, Lils also got presented her badges for the past few months at guides too. We also had lots of time in the garden and enjoyed the bbq aswell. The weather has been lush, hot but lush.  Before the schools broke up Lils took part in a show with her band for the first time, she honestly smashed it, she was lead singer and they song 'We will rock you', she also performed with the choir too. This was an end of the school year celebration. Olivia also had pirate day in the last week of term which meant dressing up time. We ended the schoo, year with many gifts and cards, which made me feel so overwhelmed and loved and on the last day of term we enjoyed a few drinks together in the sun/cloud. Goodbye June and hello July, it has been a crazy month with so much going on and so many highs! We started off last month with a job interview for me and I am pleased to say that i got the job, I start in September which is so exciting and hopefully a new chapter for us. Liam has been enjoying his job and has a tan that many people would envy. The girls have had transition days and meetings for there new school and have done amazing! This certainly was the month of change. Me and Lils took part in the  race for life  this month which I am so proud of, we raised £150 for cancer research, a charity very close to our heart and are so grateful for everyone that sponsored us. Liam was sadly working on Fathers day so we celebrated on the Saturday, on the Sunday we spent time with my Dad at Bodiam castle, a beautiful national trust location with lots to explore. Well February went by in the blink of an eye. It started off great then went down hill pretty quickly but were are coming out the other side. We started off February with an inset day for lils so we took the opportunity to take the girls swimming, it was such a good morning. That afternoon I had my first dentist appointment in a couple of year which went OK and have since had treatment there too. We took adventures to the park for rollerblading and scattering and tried to spend some quality time. But as half term hit so did the illness, the first couple of days were OK, we managed pancake day and Valentines and I did manage to take the girls to see Bingo and Bluey but they night I felt awful, this then hit us all and the rest of the week we were all in bed with the worst cold. This then went on for me and Liam and we are only really getting better now, luckily the girls were better a lot sooner. Just over a week ago, I was very lucky to be part of an important day, a day that had been postponed twice, it was my Dad's wedding day. I am not going to lie, my emotions were all over the place leading up to the day and during too. I am so happy that my Dad has found some to be happy with and to look after him but it obviously brought Mum back up and the idea that she is no longer with us. The day started off with a lot of stress trying to get us all ready with hair, make up and making sure I had everything (which I didn't). Heading to Dad and Angie's house, piled up with outfits, cakes and bags. My emotions started the moment I saw my Dad, the feeling of him getting married was becoming real and exciting, he asked me to fit his button hole, which made me feel very proud.  Getting dressed up was nice, I never really have a reason to do so and it made it feel all the more special, we all had little tasks while we waited for the transport to arrive a...

To Our Baby Girl,   As your due date grows closer, I am in awe of what my body has done for a second time, it has grown a little human from scratch but I can't help wonder when you will make an appearance. It is such a different feeling this time, and we all getting a little bit impatient now.  This whole pregnancy has been quite a simple one until the last few weeks where the world has been thrown into turmoil and my birth plan has had a huge change. It does mean that we can take the newborn days a little bit slower than we did with Lilly but it is also a scary time for big changes right now. I am trying to take in every moment of the end of this pregnancy with you, the movements and wriggles, the achy back, the growing bump and even the heartburn as I am not sure whether you will be our last baby and I want to remember every moment of it.  You are such a little fighter, you love the evenings, always kicking and pushing about in there. you get hick-u...
