Present ideas for a 9 year old | 12 Days of Blogmas day 11

Lilly has been so difficult to but for this year, she is getting to the age where a lot of toys aren't her thing any more, she is getting more interested in make up and room decor. I think that we have done well considering and have taken all her ideas into consideration.

I am excited but nervous to see what she thinks, I know that she will be grateful for everything but its every parents dream to make Christmas as special as possible.

1. Chad valley Be u colour changing light set - Argos

This set includes 2 different lights that you can design yourself. This is something that I think she will absolutely love, she is so creative and likes to design things, it was brought in the sale and I just couldn't resist it.

2.LOL surprise OMG remix doll - Amazon

Lils, as I am sure many other girls have, has asked for LOL items including there really overpriced chalet. she also loves barbies to so to combine the two we have gone for OMG version, it comes with 25 accessories and I am sure she is going to love opening the surprises, it should keep her busy for a few.

3. Crayola light up tracing pad - Littlewoods

As I said for number 1 Lilly is very creative and loves to draw so this next item was a gem to find. She sometimes struggles to get things her way when drawing free hand but with the help from think I think she will love to try new things.

4. Zuru 5 surprise mini brands series 2 - Argos

These are collectable toys that are based on real food like Heinz tomato ketchup. Lilly is really into her surprise toys and these are prefect because they are not only surprises for her to collect but they work so well with Barbies too.

5. Ukuelele - Amazon

This was an odd out of the blue idea for her but apparently she is learning ukulele in school so would like her own to practise on at home. We have picked up a baby blue one for her as that is what she requested and am so excited for her to open it. The only problem is I don't know how to tune it so I hope she does.

6.LEGO friends Heartlake city mall - Amazon (Santa's gift)

This is one that has been stored for a while now and I am so excited for her to open this one as I think she will really enjoy building this with me. Its a set she asked for a long time ago and I don't think she will ever think of this but will love it.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what we have got for Lilly and I would love to know what you have for you children if they are of a similar age.

My mental health

I don't really know why I am writing this but it may help me or someone else in the future, today I am low, very low, I feel very stuck in a rubbish situation and don't see it ever getting better. At the moment money is tight, very tight and it really is getting me down, I feel like I am letting everyone down. I want to be the best person I can be and the best Mum possible to my girls, I want to be able to provide a good life for them and don't want them to even know that we are ever struggling. I suffer from anxiety but this doesn't feel anything like that, this feels like a have got a weight in my heart, one that feels painful too, its like a constant sinking feeling that drains me too. I am tired and emotional and just had enough and I really don't know what to do or how to even take the next step. I really hope that one day soon we don't have to worry so much, that we can live a little more comfortable and that life gives us some luck as the pas

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery.
