Christmas gift guide for Women 2022 | Blogmas

I'm not the best are picking items for myself for Christmas, I don't really like money being spent on me as I always want to treat everyone else, but I have come up with a few items that I think maybe helpful for some out there. I have tried to be mindful of budget as this year isn't great for people.

Book

I do love a good book and I normally put at least one on my list, this years pick is 'Tom Felton Beyond the Wand', I am a huge Harry Potter fan and would love to know more about the actors. Obviously there are many types of books to choose from such as romance, biography's, crime and many books based around TV shows and films.

A great place to find second hand books is the World of Books on eBay.

Slippers/Lounge wear

Slippers are always a great gift for many as they are things you don't normally buy yourself, they come in so many different styles now so are sure to fit someone you know. If that fails lounge wear is a good one, pajamas or onesies are always fun and handy, especially in this years energy crisis.

Primark are always great for these types of gifts being reasonably prices and having such a large range too.

Bath bombs/gift sets

I am a great lover of bath bombs and they give me the opportunity to have a bit of me time, there are such a wide range of them now to suit many peoples budgets. I do also love a good beauty gift set, a soap and glory one from Boots or Bayliss and Harding are my favourite ones to receive and they are so useful.

LUSH do some amazing bath bombs, especially festive ones and also create great gift sets too.

Lighting

This may sound a little odd but I am all for cosy lighting and there are some great gift ideas such as the moon lamp or the character lamps which are becoming popular. Some of these lamps you can also personalise for your loved ones.

I always find amazon is the best for items like this.

Personalised jewellery

This is probably one of my favourite gifts to receive as I feel its more heartfelt and means a lot. I recently got a necklace with the girls initials on which was beautiful and meant to me that I had a bit of the girls with me at all times, There are also birthstone gifts or photographic pieces too which are beautiful and would certainly put a smile on my face.

My necklace was from Bloom Boutique and was beautiful.

Blankets

These are always great to get and have received a few over the years, character ones are great as are hooded blankets that wrap around you to keep you cosy, then there are they over sized hoodie blankets which are all the rage and do look very cosy.

You can pick up different character ones and different styles from Primark.

I hope that this gives you some ides, I do love Christmas and am very excited to see the festive season through. What would you like to receive for Christmas this year?

My mental health

I don't really know why I am writing this but it may help me or someone else in the future, today I am low, very low, I feel very stuck in a rubbish situation and don't see it ever getting better. At the moment money is tight, very tight and it really is getting me down, I feel like I am letting everyone down. I want to be the best person I can be and the best Mum possible to my girls, I want to be able to provide a good life for them and don't want them to even know that we are ever struggling. I suffer from anxiety but this doesn't feel anything like that, this feels like a have got a weight in my heart, one that feels painful too, its like a constant sinking feeling that drains me too. I am tired and emotional and just had enough and I really don't know what to do or how to even take the next step. I really hope that one day soon we don't have to worry so much, that we can live a little more comfortable and that life gives us some luck as the pas

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery.
