Festive Toddler Books | Blogmas

Today I wanted to share some of the books that I will hopefully enjoying with my toddler this year, I have picked four books that I believe are great stories for the little ones to enjoy over the festive period.

The Dinosaur that pooped Christmas

This is a great story and a funny one too, it involves dinosaurs and poo which is definitely one way to get the attention of a toddler, we love all the versions of the dinosaur that pooped books and this one hopefully be one that Olivia loves to hear.

This story is a classic and one that I cannot wait to share with Olivia, we always watch the film on Christmas eve as its something that I did when I was young. I believe it is so important to keep traditions like that in the family.

This has been one of my favourite stories to read Lilly over the years and I can't wait to share the adventure with Olivia, this story has a great message that its ok to be scared but you can always give it a go. Its about bravery and the differences between people and I personally love it.

This book is perfect for toddlers and is one that Olivia has already taken a liking too, she has always enjoyed touchy feely books and they are great for sensory reading too. There are a few versions of these that are festive but this is the one that we own.

These are just 4 of many festive books that we own, I am very excited to share some festive stories with Olivia and Lilly over the next few weeks. What are your favourite festive books for your children?

My mental health

I don't really know why I am writing this but it may help me or someone else in the future, today I am low, very low, I feel very stuck in a rubbish situation and don't see it ever getting better. At the moment money is tight, very tight and it really is getting me down, I feel like I am letting everyone down. I want to be the best person I can be and the best Mum possible to my girls, I want to be able to provide a good life for them and don't want them to even know that we are ever struggling. I suffer from anxiety but this doesn't feel anything like that, this feels like a have got a weight in my heart, one that feels painful too, its like a constant sinking feeling that drains me too. I am tired and emotional and just had enough and I really don't know what to do or how to even take the next step. I really hope that one day soon we don't have to worry so much, that we can live a little more comfortable and that life gives us some luck as the pas
