Autumn Outfit | Mummy OOTD

Today is a quick post from me and I work on our latest review from our day out last weekend. I wanted to share a little outfit post as I am here for the Autumn weather and the cosier outfits.

Today I have gone quite casual but I have realised that everything is from Primark down to my socks (who doesn't have primark socks).

Starting off with my t-shirt, this is just one of the simple plain black t-shirt which I have had for a while now, on top I am wearing this plaid shirt, I brought this on a whim and really wasn't sure but I am now in love.

I am wearing just some comfy blue skinny jeans on the bottom, the sizes are a lot better with this style and are comfy to wear all day. Lastly I have these little brown tassel boots, they are fluff lined and just so comfy to wear. 

I am so in love with this outfit and I am feeling very Autumnal, its something that I may be wearing a lot this season. I really hope you like this sort of post.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. I thought I would share our recipe with you which can easily be adapted if need be. Burger seasoning recipe

With the weather warming up and the BBQ season well on its way, I wanted to share a recipe with you that is a firm favourite in our house, this recipe will help elevate you BBQ tastes with the yummiest burgers that have so much flavour.  Its such a simple seasoning to make and one that you will be able to store for future use too. 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper We add these herbs and spices into a pestel and mortar and given them a good mix together. When the time comes to make these tasty burgers just grab some 5%  mince and shape into burgers, we now have a burger press to make them more even, then when cooking sprinkle some of the seasoning onto the top side of the burger and flip, then repeat till both sides are covered evenly. Summer holidays on a budget | 10 ideas

 The summer holidays can be scary for some parents knowing that there budget doesn't stretch far, I try to keep to a strict budget so we don't go beyond our means, this means that some days are in with free activites and crafts. So here are some free/cheap ideas to keep you and the kids entertained over the holidays. Rock painting and hiding Lego building Pet pals workshop (Pets at home) Den making Baking ( Cookies , Cupcakes ) Cinema (kids club) National trust (vouchers are very useful) Beach/park  Summer reading challenge (local libraries) Scavenger hunt / nature hunt These are just a few things that we get up to in the summer holidays. I normally put these and more in an envelope and get the girls to pick something out when the day is slow or there bored. I really hope these help and would love to hear what you get up to as well.
