Birthday present for Lils | Present ideas for an 11 year old

Lilly is 11 in just a couple of days time and I wanted to share what gifts we have brought for her. As you may well see its very stitch heavy, she is massively into stitch right now so it was easy to find so cool gifts. I really have struggled to fine things for her this year so its more little items than big ones and we do have a fun day planned out.

Smiley slippers - These are something that she has had on her wish list for a while, I am excited for her to open these and enjoy them.

Stitch Squishmallows - This was a win win when I found this, she loves squishmallows and stitch so both of them together was perfect for her to have.

Lego friends set - Lils has been into Lego friends for years and they have recently been updated so thought we would try out one of the new sets.

Stitch pjs - I saw these in Primark a while back and new that I had to get these for her, they are more of a grown up set which I feel she will really appreciate.

Stitch make up brushes - These are a little added bonus to go with her pjs, some new make up brushes that are stitch themed too.

Marcus Rashford books - We have got 2 of these for her, The breakfast club adventure: The beast beyond the fence and The ghoul in the school, she seems to have enjoyed these at school so thought that they would be a great addition.

Stitch pop funko - This was an easy one too, she got a Harry Potter pop funko for Christmas and I though that this would be another one to add to her collection

Donut snuddie - I have been wanting to get her one of these for a long time and when in there the other week I grabbed one, we got a donut design which I thought was fun and happy.

Stitch pops 4D - We have managed to get one of the 100 special Stitch pop 4d things, we pre ordered this for a lot lower than is showing now. I think she will love this.

Colour card game -  I picked this card game up on a whim, this was on clearance in my local Morrisons and thought that its something that me and her can enjoy on our girly nights.

Mini brands - Lils love mini brands and uses them for her barbies too, she has a large collection of these already.

Mini verse - Lilly tells me that these are similar to mini brands but she gets to put them together herself which sounds fun.

Bluetooth speaker/clock - Lastly is this Bluetooth speaker/clock, I thought she would enjoy connecting some music in her room to chill out to but with the added bonus of a clock too, it also has LED's in as well.

I really hope that she likes everything that we have got her, we also create a paper mache egg which includes little things like lip balm or little figures that we know she'll enjoy and we are also have a lovely family day out planned just after her birthday. I really hope you have enjoyed reading about what we have for Lils and that it may have given you some ideas.

My mental health

I don't really know why I am writing this but it may help me or someone else in the future, today I am low, very low, I feel very stuck in a rubbish situation and don't see it ever getting better. At the moment money is tight, very tight and it really is getting me down, I feel like I am letting everyone down. I want to be the best person I can be and the best Mum possible to my girls, I want to be able to provide a good life for them and don't want them to even know that we are ever struggling. I suffer from anxiety but this doesn't feel anything like that, this feels like a have got a weight in my heart, one that feels painful too, its like a constant sinking feeling that drains me too. I am tired and emotional and just had enough and I really don't know what to do or how to even take the next step. I really hope that one day soon we don't have to worry so much, that we can live a little more comfortable and that life gives us some luck as the pas

I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery.
