Chitty chitty bang bang tour | Congress Theatre Eastbourne

What an incredible show!

Yesterday me and Lilly took a trip to the Congress theatre in Eastbourne to watch the tour production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which is currently touring the UK until May of 2025. Our seats were on the grand terrace in the front row and the view was great for the price.

The production of the show was amazing from the costumes to the props, and everything inbetween. The stage itself has a framework round the stage with moving parts and lights to match parts of the show and the side curtains contained blueprints adding to the inventing side of the story. The scene changes were sometimes visible with the ensemble moving props about and other done either with the lights down or a scene curtian hiding it but every one worked well with the story.

The cast included some well known names and they certainly did not dissapoint, Adam Garcia played Caractacus Potts and he was perfect, his voice worked with every song he sang and he brought the right amout of humour and emotion to the character. Truly Scrumptious was brought to life by Ellie Nunn, her perfermance was fantastic and her singing voice was exquisite, and the chemistry between Ellie and Adam was visible from the get go. The child catcher was played by The Vivienne, she gave the character an eerie vibe with the movement being slow and almost rat liked which really worked for the part.

Grampa Potts, played by Liam Fox was lovable and silly whilst the baron (Martin Callaghan) and baroness (Jenny Gayner) were liked due to their comedy and hated equally. Boris (Adam Stafford) and Goran (Michael Joseph) were grear and defintly brought the right amount of comedy to the parts to get both the adults and children laughing, the toy maker (John Macaulay) was fantastic too. The ensenble were incredible, their dancing, acting and singing skills were shown with all members giving 100%

The children who played Jemma and Jeremy were just wonderful, they worked well together really giving the sense of them being siblings. The other children in the were also brilliant and telented too. And lastly I cannot forget to mention Chitty itself, all I can say is magical, Chitty had me grinning from ear to ear like a child, the car flew with ease and really did look like it was flying around the stage, it moved in different directions including doing full 360 degree turns, the wheels turned, the wings came out and the lights worked too.

During our performance we experienced a show stoppage which lasted about 10 minutes, we were well informed as to what was happening and when the show would continue, I have never expeinced anything like that before.

I would honestly recommend visiting this show if you can.

Autumn Tag

Hello, I thought that today I would take part in the Autumn tag so you can all get to know me a little better, I took part in this on my old blog many years back and a lot has changed since. Autumn has to be my favourite season with so much change and the excitement for Christmas not far ahead. 1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you? I know Autumn starts at the end of September but for me its the first of November when it starts to officially feel like Autumn, it all of the sudden feels different and colder after Halloween and especially when the clocks go back too. 2. What is your favourite Autumn scent? My favourite autumn scents are either Orange or berries, they always make the house smell so warm and toasty in wax melt form and I love them in a hand cream or even a bubble bath scent too around this time of year.. 3. What is your favourite Autumn colour? My favourite Autumn colour has to be the burnt orange for the leaves but burgundy colour for clothing, the are just very w...
