Summer holidays | Activities that won't break the bank

With the summer holidays fast approaching I am trying to think of ways to keep the kids entertained that don't break the bank. Its so hard to find different things to do but I have managed to come up with some activities that are either free or cheap that I have put into an envelope for the kids to pull out, I wanted to share these ideas with you in hope that they will help you too.

If any other items are required for the activity I have written in below or linked it.

  1. Painting secret stones and hiding them
  2. Baking some tasty treats
  3. Slime baff or gelli baff from zimpli kids
  4. Film night with popcorn and sweets
  5. Beach day if you have one close
  6. LEGO afternoon
  7. Park and ice creams
  8. Go to the penny arcades (£5 each)
  9. Make a den.
  10. A penny hike (tales left and heads right) the penny chooses where you go.
  11. Sign up to the summer reading challenge (local library)
  12. Find free local activities/events
  13. Find a new play park
  14. Indoor scavenger hunt
  15. Geocaching
  16. Create and summer holiday treasure box
  17. Bug hunt, learn about them as you go
  18. Do each others face paint / make up
I am really excited for the summer holidays to finally be here, Olivia will still be going to nursery on some of the days but we will still make these memories together. I hope that these have given you some ideas.
