Book 5 of 2026 is well under way! I really have got into my grove. Baby be mine is a sequel to Johnny be good written by Paige Toon. It is set a year after there last story and starts off with a very **** question, 'He's not kine, is he?'. This set the story off with wonder and questioning what is going to happen which really draws you in. Meg Stiles was one a PA to one of the most famous rock stars going, Johnny Jefferson when she fell for his bad boy charm, times changed and she left the job, and Johnny due to his lack of respect. She later moves in with his friend, Christian, and life seems brighter until a silly mistakes causes a whole lot of turmoil for her and many around her. I am half way through the story already and I honestly find it hard to put down, I want to know more at the end of each chapter. The one thing that I am not liking quite so much is that there is a bit of repetition of the turmoil through the book, being the reader we already know th...

Waitress | Theatre Royal Brighton

A warm, wholesome story with lots of toppings! If you are looking for a musical that can make you laugh one second and cry the next then Waitress is the one for you, it is currently touring the country to celebrate its 10th anniversary and I feel very luckily to be able to say that I have seen it.  Waitress is a musical created by Jessie Nelson and Sara Bareilles, It tells us a story of a Waitress called Jenna, who also happens to be an expert pie maker, craeating delicious pies with invenitve names. Her story isn't as sweet as it sounds though, with an abusive husband and a baby on the way she is looking for a way out, with the help of her two friends and collegues, Becky and Dawn.  Carrie Hope Fletcher takes the role of Jenna, she honestly blew my away with the way she portrayed her. The emotions though the show hit at every point, I felt sad with her, angry for her and loved every second of her story. The vocals on this women are something else and she w...

Duck hunting at Tibbs farm

Image
What a way to spend Good Friday, searching for ducks and saying hello to so cute goats and pigs then finishing off with some chocolate treats. Tibbs farm, Udimore do an Easter event with a difference, instead of hunting eggs you are hunting rubber ducks. This means that you get to explore all of the farm as well as meeting the animals and getting lost in there maze. The rules are simple, find 3 yellow ducks for a yummy chocolate treat. If your lucky to find a smaller, colourful one you get another treat and if you are super vigilant you may find one of the celebrity ducks and win a large yummy looking Easter egg. We honestly had such a great time, we spent a while near the Christmas trees hoping to find the Queen Victoria duck, sadly we didnt have the luck there. The girls both loved looking for the ducks, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere from everyone around was happy.  We will definitely be back next year for another try. Victoria

March recap | 2026

Image
Goodbye March and hello April! I have actually really enjoyed March, its been a month of sun, family time and finally leaving the house for adventures with the girls. The month started off with world book day, the girls both dress as Alice in Wonderland and I was the giraffe from The smartest giant in town. I absoloutly love days like these both as a parent and as someone who works in a school and its just a lot of fun.  We took trips to the local park, planted stuff in our garden and green house and generally enjoyed the sun when it was out, this has been something that I have been craving for a while now so I am glad that the darker, wetter days are fewer right now. We also took a trip to the beach, this one was to find some dinosaur footprints and to enjoy an iceream on the seafront, the sun was shining, the beach was beautiful and it was just a lovely afternoon out.  Mothers day followed, this was lovely but dinner didn't go to plan, Liam started cooking a love...
