January recap | 2026

January has felt like a slog and what a miserable one for the weather too. I am definitely ready for February and the lighter mornings and evenings.  We have had a very quiet month, not a lot happening really, we just tried to make the most of the time and have tried to get jobs done that we can.  We started off with a little bit of excitement with a dusting of snow, and I mean a dusting. Our town never seems to enjoy the large amounts of snow but I am glad that we got some for the girls to throw some snowballs.  The next week was back to work and school, I struggled with this a little as I felt the Christmas holidays went so fast but we are fully back into the flow of it all now.  The next couple of weeks have been full of organising the house and starting to work on the garden too, making it ready for summer so we can take full advantage of it. All in all ita been a slow month but its been needed, I just wish the weather had been brighter and less wet. ...

This year I have set a reading goal, I would like to try and read at least 10 book by the end of 2026. So far it is going well, this book is technically my second with my last book having many different stories. The story starts off with Alice leaving for a holiday with her Mum, soon after arriving she catches the eye of the local barman (Joe) and falls head over heals, but before the end of summer Joe flees leaving Alice heartbroken. Will Alice move on or will there paths cross again? I have been hooked since the first page and struggle to put it down at night. Its a beautiful, easy read and one that really sucks you in. I am around half way through so far and there have already been tears and laughter. Finding this story after reading the sequel novella, one perfect summer is lovely being able to find out more about the characters and there background but I do wish that I had read this before the sequel.  I would definitely recommend this story if you are into a roma...

December recap | 2025

December was probably one of the busiest months ever! I Feel like we didnt stop and this was thrown in with illness too. The start if December was a little slow compared to the end. We started off with unpacking and an IKEA trip for furniture, which then lead to lots of building of said furniture so we could finally make this house a home. We have also been planning our wedding too, with parcels being delivered, dresses to try on and invites to get sent out. We do like to add to all the manic stress of it all. We had lots of school events, with Olivias nativity, where she played a camel, and then we had lil's school Christmas fair where she was singing in the choir as well as well.  The Christmas holidays finally arrived and I definitely needed the rest, with the busy month my body decided to throw in a chest infection too.  We finally had a chance to enjoy some time together and some time to do so festive things, we watched the festive tractor run, which included ...
