Currently reading | One Perfect Summer | Paige Toon

This year I have set a reading goal, I would like to try and read at least 10 book by the end of 2026. So far it is going well, this book is technically my second with my last book having many different stories.

The story starts off with Alice leaving for a holiday with her Mum, soon after arriving she catches the eye of the local barman (Joe) and falls head over heals, but before the end of summer Joe flees leaving Alice heartbroken. Will Alice move on or will there paths cross again?

I have been hooked since the first page and struggle to put it down at night. Its a beautiful, easy read and one that really sucks you in. I am around half way through so far and there have already been tears and laughter.

Finding this story after reading the sequel novella, one perfect summer is lovely being able to find out more about the characters and there background but I do wish that I had read this before the sequel. 

I would definitely recommend this story if you are into a romance with twists.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. Burger seasoning recipe

With the weather warming up and the BBQ season well on its way, I wanted to share a recipe with you that is a firm favourite in our house, this recipe will help elevate you BBQ tastes with the yummiest burgers that have so much flavour.  Its such a simple seasoning to make and one that you will be able to store for future use too. 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper We add these herbs and spices into a pestel and mortar and given them a good mix together. When the time comes to make these tasty burgers just grab some 5%  mince and shape into burgers, we now have a burger press to make them more even, then when cooking sprinkle some of the seasoning onto the top side of the burger and flip, then repeat till both sides are covered evenly. Dinosaur, poop and a whole lot of laughs! Danny and dino want to see there favourite band perform but dino is hungry, along the way he munches on lots of things and makes Danny sad, is there a way that dino can save the day? Olivia has been a fan of these books for years and I must say they do make me and Liam laugh too, but when I booked this last year I was unsure of how this would be, and how they would bring the dino to life. But after watching this show I can say that me and Olivia thoroughly enjoyed it. There are four cast members, two being Danny and Dino and the other two playing multiple characters through the show, and doing a great job of that too. The music is cheesy but fun and catchty and some small hints to Mcfly too, which certainly put a smile on my face.  The scenery was simple yet effective with one main prop on stage that was usedin many different ways by turning the prop around or opening different parts to create a different space.
