I feel like it is important to know the person behind the blog/channel and I love finding out random things about people that I follow so I wanted to share 20 random facts about me with you so you can get to know me a little better. 
  1. I used to do amateur dramatics
  2. I passed my driving test in Feb 2016
  3. I have been with Liam coming up 15 years
  4. I used to own a moped
  5. I suffered a miscarriage in 2011 before having Lilly
  6. My favourite chocolate is Turkish delight
  7. We have a cat called Jack
  8. I lost my Mum in 2017
  9. I had a water birth with Olivia during the very first lockdown
  10. I'm a Harry Potter nerd
  11. I suffer from anxiety but it's under control right now. 
  12. I have a tattoo on my left arm of a clock
  13. I went on a cruise in 2012 where I found out I was pregnant with Lilly. 
  14. I've had my current YouTube channel since 2011 
  15. My very first job was cleaning caravans at Haven

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. I thought I would share our recipe with you which can easily be adapted if need be. Recipe 500g Beef Mince 1 carton of tomato passata  1 tbs tomato paste 1 beef stock cube 1 beef stock pot 1 tsp onion salt 1 tsp garlic granules 1 tsp mixed herbs 2 medium carrots sliced and part cooked Salt and pepper 3 large potatoes for mash 75g cheese Method 1. Burger seasoning recipe

With the weather warming up and the BBQ season well on its way, I wanted to share a recipe with you that is a firm favourite in our house, this recipe will help elevate you BBQ tastes with the yummiest burgers that have so much flavour.  Its such a simple seasoning to make and one that you will be able to store for future use too. 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper We add these herbs and spices into a pestel and mortar and given them a good mix together. When the time comes to make these tasty burgers just grab some 5%  mince and shape into burgers, we now have a burger press to make them more even, then when cooking sprinkle some of the seasoning onto the top side of the burger and flip, then repeat till both sides are covered evenly. This will help the seasoning cook into the meat and make the flavour run througout.  Once cooked serve your burgers the way you like, I personally go...

Summer holidays on a budget | 10 ideas

 The summer holidays can be scary for some parents knowing that there budget doesn't stretch far, I try to keep to a strict budget so we don't go beyond our means, this means that some days are in with free activites and crafts. So here are some free/cheap ideas to keep you and the kids entertained over the holidays. Rock painting and hiding Lego building Pet pals workshop (Pets at home) Den making Baking ( Cookies , Cupcakes ) Cinema (kids club) National trust (vouchers are very useful) Beach/park  Summer reading challenge (local libraries) Scavenger hunt / nature hunt These are just a few things that we get up to in the summer holidays. I normally put these and more in an envelope and get the girls to pick something out when the day is slow or there bored. I really hope these help and would love to hear what you get up to as well.
