These last couple of years I have become more and more aware of how much plastic we use as a family and I am determined to change it and make our family more environmentally conscious, so when ecostash emailed about there wheat straw storage, I was above happy.

Ecostash have created different file storage solutions in different size and colour to fit everyone, and all made from agricultural waste, meaning that no plastic has been added to the environment.

I chose a green colour, a have got the 12 pocket organiser. This is perfect for our family and I have been able to store all the paperwork I need with lots of space for more. The accordion style to the storage means that you can close it up quite small for a cupboard or use in a filing cabinet too.

There are others colours and designs to pick from, you can either choose pink, blue, yellow, green or purple and size wise of 12 pocket, with or without lid, or hangers for a filing cabinet and 26 pocket ones to, meaning that there's something from everyone.

I  very happy that I have managed to change my storage into something more eco friendly and I will continue to find products that suit our family to help the planet one step at a time.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. Burger seasoning recipe

With the weather warming up and the BBQ season well on its way, I wanted to share a recipe with you that is a firm favourite in our house, this recipe will help elevate you BBQ tastes with the yummiest burgers that have so much flavour.  Its such a simple seasoning to make and one that you will be able to store for future use too. 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper 1 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion powder 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper We add these herbs and spices into a pestel and mortar and given them a good mix together. When the time comes to make these tasty burgers just grab some 5%  mince and shape into burgers, we now have a burger press to make them more even, then when cooking sprinkle some of the seasoning onto the top side of the burger and flip, then repeat till both sides are covered evenly.  The summer holidays can be scary for some parents knowing that there budget doesn't stretch far, I try to keep to a strict budget so we don't go beyond our means, this means that some days are in with free activites and crafts. So here are some free/cheap ideas to keep you and the kids entertained over the holidays.
