Easter basket 2026

Easter is fast approaching and I am so ready for it, I have created the girls Easter basket for 2026 and I readlly do hope they enjoy whats in it. 

This is something that i do every single year and will contiue to do for years to come, I like to put things in that I know will keep them busy over half term such as stickers, game and crafts. I have a mixture of items from different shops and normally pick up an item a week to spread the cost.

This year i have included:

Magnetic dress up from The Works
Ceramic paint you own eggs x2 from The works
Easter pairs game from Morrisons
Easter pens from Morrisons
Easter stickers from a local warehouse shop
Mint areo eggs from Coop

I really think that the girls are going to enjoy this and I cannot wait to see there faces when they recieve it.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. I thought I would share our recipe with you which can easily be adapted if need be. Recipe 500g Beef Mince 1 carton of tomato passata  1 tbs tomato paste 1 beef stock cube 1 beef stock pot 1 tsp onion salt 1 tsp garlic granules 1 tsp mixed herbs 2 medium carrots sliced and part cooked Salt and pepper 3 large potatoes for mash 75g cheese Method 1. Shows that I have seen

I have loved anything to do with theatre for as long as I can remember, being part of an amauter dramatic group from the age of 4.  I have also seen a fair few shows over my years and I certainly intend to add many more to this list over time. This will be a blog post that will change with every future show that we watch. I find theatre such a world away from the worries for a while, you delve into someone elses story. Where did May go? It has been and gone within a flash but we have managed to get so much done in just one month! May started off with the end of half term and May day, Hastings celebrates May day in a different way to many people with an event called Jack in the Green . This is a day that I really enjoy, the atmosphere and the mood is so positive and fresh and then you get the added bonus of the bike run too. Its one day that we try not to miss and Lils got to be in the parade too. We have spent lots of time enjoying the garden, cycling and getting out in the sunshine while it lasted. We have planted the sunflowers and started to grow some strawberries too. Still can't believe that we actually have a garden. The next half term was here in a flash, it started with mine and Liam's 17th anniversary, we enjoyed fish and chips on the beach with the girls and just had a really chill day.
