Knockhatch | A great family day out

For olivia's birthday we decided to take a trip over to Knockhatch adventure park in Hailsham, this is a theme park aimed for children with many different things to do such rides, softplay and animals too.

On entering the park we were immediantly welcomed by animals, including rabbits, birds and a walk around with goats and wallabies too. we then took a slow walk around the animal areas, you can buy a pot of feed from the gift shop to make it interactive for all the family. The animals enclosures are  good size, are clean and the animals look happy and well looked after. Olivia even got to stroke some very little lambs.

After this Olivia went on the quadapillar, a ride which consists of a gaud pulling some barrel carriages behind, its takes you on a little ride around some of the animals and runds for certain times through the day. After we found the froggy soft play area and cafe, this was great, it is a large space with a good size soft play, plenty of tables and a cafe to go too. The food is reasonably priced and looked decent too.

We decided to take our own food and ate it in the sheltered picnic area in the centre of knockhatch. Next on the list was rhe dinosaur area, this has a simulator ride, a huge slide play room and a dino drop ride too. There are a mixture of slides from drop slides to tube slides with dinosaurs in every corner of the room, we spent quite a while in here while the kids ran around and enjoyed the space.

Next up was more animals, we saw lots of beautiful owls, they all have name tags at the front of there cages and are flown every day to stretch their wings. The meerkats, prairy dogs and the new addisions of the capybaras made us smile with there crazy antics.

One of my favourite parts was the rowing boats which you can take around the lake in the park, you get roughly 15 minutes to take a tour of the area, we had so many giggles as we kept crashing into trees and the banks on the lake. We made it back to the begininng unscaved but with a great smile on our faces.

The most nerve racking part of the day was when Olivia wanted to ride the wave runner slides, this is a group of water slides, there are four different slides to pick from, we decided to go on the one that goes straight down, it was one of those moment as a Mum where you need to be brave.

We ended the day on the giant jump cushion and the cannon arena where I am sure Liam had more fun that the girls, its an area with little rad canons where you can shoot soft foam balls around, we were all trying to get each other and running around collecting all the balls around the place, we all had a right laugh.

It was honeslty a fantastic day out, we arrived at around 10.20am and didn't leave around 4pm so we really made a day of it.
