 Me and Liam recently tied the knot and we didn't want to break the bank but didn't want to comprimise on the day itself. We have been waiting for a very long time to get married and I wanted it to be a day I will never forget.

Firstly my Dad did help with the cost of the main venue and reception, he randomly messaged me one day after me making a silly remark that its mine and Liams turn. Liams Mum also helped with the cost of the catering in the way of a wedding gift to us.

  • Cake - £110 two tier cake

I was so happy how everything actually turned out, from the decor to the dress and all inbetween, it honestly felt like a dream come true and one that will stay with me forever. The only let down was the hotel after, the place was so date, there was no AC and a tiny fan so the room was unbearable and we left the night of the wedding knowing that we were not going to be comfy at all.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. I find that a cottage pie is such an Autumn/Winter staple as it feeling like such a warm, hearty meal, one that is a proper comfort meal.  I recently started making the meal and found that I didn't have a packet mix in so decided to find a recipe to try out, the first one I found sounded good but I changed it slightly to fit our family, Lils isn't keen on fresh onion ad none of us like celery. Shows that I have seen

I have loved anything to do with theatre for as long as I can remember, being part of an amauter dramatic group from the age of 4.  I have also seen a fair few shows over my years and I certainly intend to add many more to this list over time. This will be a blog post that will change with every future show that we watch. I find theatre such a world away from the worries for a while, you delve into someone elses story. Christmas stories we love | Blogmas day 2

Every story holds a memory of years gone by and I absolutely love to tell and retell these stories as my children grow. This is just a selection of Christmas/festive books that we have but these are also our favourite ones too. The dinosaur that pooped a reindeer - This story just makes us laugh and adds to our dino that pooped collection.  Kevin and Katie's Christmas adventure - We have many of the Kevin and Katie stories from over the year thay we love to read.  Santa comes to Hastings - A special one for me, my Mum brought this for Lilly and it always brings back a moment in time. Squirrels Snowman - We love a bit of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in this house so this is a story we enjoy.  Mogs Christmas calamity - This is a bit odd but I love that it shows that Christmas isn't about it being perfect but about who you spend it with.
