Hamilton | Victoria Palace theatre, London

I can officially say that me and Lilly have been in the room where it happens, and wow did it happen!

We took a trip up to the Victoria Palace theatre in London to see Hamilton, this was a birthday surprise for Lilly as she has been begging to go. We both laugh, cried and fell in love with the show.

The theatre itself is stunning, inside and out, from the chandaliers to the main theatre area and everything inbetween. All the staff we encountered were freindly, helpful and all seemed to enjoy there job. Inside the theatre to the right of the main enternace is the area for merchendise, along with a bar too. 

The show itself was incredible from start to finish, from the cast, set and orchestra. It has been a long time since I have been to a show that is a permenant fixture to the theatre, and you can tell the difference if you visit shows a lot. The set was so inpressive, with a revloving stage, multiple levels and many props during the show. The sound levels for everything were prefect, you could hear all the cast loud and clear.

Both Aexander hamilton, played by Stephenson Ardern-Sodje and Aaron Burr, played by Yeukayi Ushe both played the parts perfect, they both had the right amount of emotions and power behind them. Eliza (Bente Mulan) was perfect, I really felt everything that she felt even from the grand circle. Angelica played by Georgina Onuorah was strong and showed her feelings through the whole performance. Peggy/Maria reyanlds played by Jasmine Jia Yung Shen brought comedy to the show along with emotions when playing Maria. Keeping with the comedic these King George, Daniel Boys was amazing, he made us all laugh with his performance from his facial expressions to the swinging legs on the stall

The other cast member were amazing, all with strong performances and great singing voices, the ensemble were amazing, they all seemed to have perpose and any time they were mocing props it was with rythmical reason. 

All in all the show was incredible, and one that we already plan on seeing again. We were sat in the side slips up in the grand circle and our view was fantastic for the price we paid.

I have recently started making my own Cottage pie with a recipe that I have tweeted to work four our fussy family. Wow! What a crazy full on month again and one that will stay with me forever. The month started off with our second house move of the year, it has been so stressful and crazy but we are in and the keys are handed back for the other house now so onwards and upwards.  Most of the month has been working, unpacking and Sorting and just being Mum but I have had a few days which have been incredible.  This month I got to attend an event and meet the wonderful Axel Scheffler, the illistrator of the Gruffalo, stickman and many more. He was lovely and we managed to get a book signed by him. I also got to meet Thomas Taylor, an author and illistrator who actually created the first cover for the Harry Potter books. It was such a lovely couple of hours and one I won't forget in a rush. Sage and Onion Yorkshire pudding recipe

With Winter just around the corner and more comfort meals creeping into our menu I wanted to share our Sage and Onion Yorkshire pudding recipe with you, we have been using this recipe for years and it's still a winner to this day.  Recipe (Makes 4 large puddings) 100ml Milk 2 large eggs 70g Plain flour 1 tsp Sage 1 tsp Onion salt Salt and pepper Oil for cooking Method 1. In a large jug mix the eggs and flour together as smooth as possible. 2. Slowly pour in the milk mixing well until completely smooth. 3. Add your sage, onion and salt and pepper into the mix and stir in. 4. Place a tbsp of oil into each Yorkshire pudding tin hole and heat for around 15 mins of gas mark 7 5. Pour your mixture into the four holes as even as possible.  6. Cook for around 15 minutes and turn over if possible to cook for another 5 minutes. ( I find this cooks the bottom nicely) 7.
