Busted vs Mcfly | The 02 Arena

What a night, Busted vs Mcfly at the 02 arena! 

Last year we took a trip to see Mcfly for there 21st birthday where they announced the vs tour and I couldn't wait to book tickets, I was lucky enough to get some during the 02 priority which were much better seats than last time too. 

Fast forward 11 months to the 21st of September and we are on our way to the 02, to see Busted and Mcfly perform and I am buzzing. I forgot to book parking this time and was worrying about it but we were very lucky to finding parking in North Grenwich station carpark, which also worked out cheaper. 

Upon entering the 02 we took ourselves to get some food and work out timings for everything. Going into the arena was fast and effective, there were people outside to scan tickets then we went straight through to the security scanner and that's it, your in. 

Me and Lilly went straight to the merch stand which took 5 minutes to secure our items, I went for a Mcfly tour t-shirt with Busted mentioned on the back and a Busted vs Mcfly lanyard too, Lils got herself a lanyard too.

Next was toilet and drinks, the toilets were clean and the queue moved fast, I also got changed into my new top too. Drinks were easy to order but be prepared to pay the price for both food and drink, its not cheap. They also have self serve bits where you scan your card, pick you items and leave.

Doors opened at 6.30pm prompt and we entered the arena, we were in section 110, row g and I can say the view was amazing compared to last time. We had a bit of a wait for the show but travelling makes me nervous that something will go wrong so always leave plenty of time.

The show stayed at 8pm with YMCA being played before Mcfly made there appearance, it's such an experience to be part of roughly 20,000 people all doing the YMCA dance, the atmosphere was electric. 

Mcfly played first with roughly an hour set, the sign then dropped and busted appeared, they also played for roughly an hour. Both bands were incredible, the crowd was amazing, I wish it was a feeling I could bottle.

After there 2 seperate sets Matt and Dougie appeared on opposite sides of the 02 to 'argue'. This was funny as they picked someone from the crowd that was meant badmouth the opposite member but Matts pick decided to declare her love for Dougie instead!

The last half an hour was both bands together, with a mixture of songs and laughs. The last song played and confetti was flying, it's was such an amazing end to an incredible show. At the end they were running around, jumping and having a laugh between each other. 

Exiting the 02 arena is easy, I didn't feel crowded or claustrophobic even with the amount of people leaving. On the other hand leaving the carpark too a while but that was expected.

It is honestly a night I will never forget and one that I really needed after a crazy few months. 

The final question is whether I am team Busted or team Mcfly? Well I can't pick, I love them both and always will! They both win for me!
